Holiday Choices

Most of our weeks start the same way in the marina in Conwy. On the first evening we settle down over a glass or two and chat about what everybody wants to do that week. Then we plan our itinerary around the tides, the weather and everyones wishes to build a specifically tailored cruise. Our 2012 schedule will basically list dates and sometimes places, but each week or weekend will be tailored to suit what our guests want.

Puffins and Porpoise - Birds and Wildlife

The Western Coasts of the UK offers some of the very best opportunities for the bird and wildlife watcher, on any cruise around the coast and islands it is impossible to miss the fascinating and abundant wildlife of the region.

Usually when we are planning our weeks itinerary on the forst evening we always take in the opportunity to find some of the areas spectacular wildlife. Celtic Cruising are a Wise Approved wildlife operator. Of course in addition to the vast range of birdlife we encounters we expect to see Seals, up to three species of Dolphins, Porpoise and if we are very lucky we may catch sight of Basking Sharks. Very occasionally even Orca and Minke Whales have been spotted in the coastal waters of North Wales.....MORE

The Inner Hebrides and Distilleries

Spend six days on a large luxurious yacht enjoying the splendour of the Inner Hebrides, the breathtaking wildlife and the fabulous food and drink offered by this unique region of the British Isles. Enough sailing to make the cruise fun but you will also have the opportunity to explore some of the Inner Hebridean Islands. For the whisky lover the chance to explore some of the World’s most famous whisky distilleries and taste some of the expressions you just can’t find in the shops. With a Yachtmaster Instructor as skipper take as big a part in the sailing and navigation of the yacht as you wish. Irish Sea Cruises

These holidays will be based simply around sailing. Taking advantage of being on a larger yacht that will be able to put to sea in most conditions up to and including Gale 8 winds. Over a 4 or 5 day period we will aim to complete a number of longer passages that will contribute to the passage requirement for the RYA Yachtmaster qualifications. Our guest will have the opportunity to plan and execute both the passage plan and the navigation for the passages.....MORE

We are always delighted to have groups or families booking holidays with us. We can then plan a cruise based around what you want to achieve, whether its training, mile building, outdoor activities, distillery visits or whatever you want.

Conwy River Festival - A week of yacht racing and cruising together with shore-based activities.

Join us on board Celtic Star for a fun packed week. We plan to take part in the racing, but also find time to visit some of the other delightful and picturesque towns along the Menai Straits. The Isle of Man TT Races

Join us for the world famous TT Races, we will leave Wales on the Sunday night or Monday Morning and sail overnight to the Isle of Man, where fans can revel in the Island’s special mix of incredible racing and world class entertainment – and all set amongst the beautiful scenery of the Isle of Man. We will stay in the marina in Douglas where you can use the boat as your base. If you want a day off the racing of course we can have a day sailing. We will leave early on Friday to be back in Conwy late friday afternoon. .....MORE
