Life on Board

The way the day goes depends on whether we are doing a course or a cruise. On our RYA courses we take a maximum of 5 guests on board, but usually prefer to have four as we are more relaxed with this number. On our cruises we take up to 6 but once again often sail with 4.
On our courses we usually start fairly early, aiming to finish breakfast around 0830, then spending the sail sailing or working our way through the various elements of the RYA Courses. We take regular breaks, always stop for lunch, but rest assured you will be worked hard!!

On our cruises we travel at an unhurried pace with enough sailing to make it fun but lots of time to relax and enjoy your holiday. During your cruise on Celtic Star you can stay on board and enjoy the unhurried pace of life on a large sailing yacht or take the option of making parts of the journey under your own steam, perhaps on foot or rent a bicycle.

On our longer cruises we have the opportunity to experience the majesty of the Irish Sea, and then share the excitement of a landfall after a longer passage.

Once we are safely moored there are woodland and coastal walks to enjoy, castles and fabulous pre-historic and Iron Age villages to explore. You can even take on the mountains of Snowdonia.

In the evening we gather together over fabulous fresh food from locally sourced ingredients, share stories of our adventures and make our plans for the next day.
