RYA Courses with Snowdonia Sailing School
RYA Courses without the roughing it!After many years of teaching RYA Course for numerous sailing schools, Richard decided he wanted to do them his way! "I enjoy good food, a comfortable bed, a shower in the morning, generally a bit of comfort." We believe that some people who want to do RYA training would prefer to have a bit of comfort and perhaps pay a little more, so this is why we set up Snowdonia Sailing School.
We offer the full range of RYA Practical Courses to find out more about each of the courses use the links below.
What happening this Spring
12th - 20th March 9 day Complete Day SkipperDo you want to be in charge of your own boat, or you want to charter on your own this year?
So you've done a bit of yacht sailing, perhaps completed a Competent Crew Course but never learnt how to navigate. This is the course for you, in one go learn the theory and practical skills you need to run your own boat.
Over 9 days we will build your skills and confidence to Day Skipper Level. First studying the theory of navigation and seamanship, then putting it into practice straight away. Far the best way to learn.
All accompanied, as ever, with some fabulous food, carefully selected wine all aboard Celtic Star.

Most of our courses run on a 2 plus 3 system. This means that you can come along for all 5 days, or choose and two or three days and use these to build up towards the full five days you need for a Competent Crew or Day Skipper qualification. It also means that you can do your 5 days and take just one day off work! Alternatively if you can't manage a three day break then both Competent Crew and Days Skipper can be done over three weekends. Coastal Skipper has to be over 5 consecutive days.
